The FL OT prospect mentioned the Hokies (and an offer) in his interview with the Jacksonville Times-Union. He claims 35 offers and looks to be a Gators lean by way of his comments; being most familiar with their program and impressed by Coach Meyer.
At least he's going to visit VT on his trip. Like Beamer says, if we can get them on campus generally we have a better shot at landing recruits. Benedict also claims that going away from home isn't a problem, but recruits generally say that at the beginning and then narrow the choices down to area schools.
At any rate, its always a good thing to get a recruit of Benedict's caliber interested in the program, and it also shows that VT is starting to have more of a national recruiting base.
